We had a blast! We stayed in cabin #18 and it was great. 2 bedrooms and a loft with 3 twin beds. The screened in back deck was fantastic. We had a great view of the "White River" about 50 yards from the cabin. We would highly suggest.... Mrs. Debra was a very gracious host and we caught our limit in nice size rainbow trout. A+ trip!
Clean rooms and great location
We spent two nights and three days in cabin #4. The folks managing it were extremely nice. The cabin was comfortable and fully stocked with everything but food. The view was awesome. Sitting in the rocking chair on the porch one morning I watched a bald eagle gliding over the landscape. The area was peaceful and quiet with very little traffic.
I was disappointed. The room smelled like smoke. There were lots of creepy folks hanging around and the owner even said they've had a problem with thieves. There was coffee and a pot but no filters in our room. The beds were hard with minimal blankets (and a spider). The face of the a/c unit was off and laying in the corner. The showers were small and cramped and water got all over the floor. The couch cusions weren't even put on the right way. A sign in the bathroom said there were extra towels under the sink and there wasn't. I honestly felt uncomfortable and unsafe the whole stay.
We couldn't have been happier. Very friendly staff. Our cabin was wonderful and priced more than reasonable! We stayed in #16. 3 bedroom, full size washer and dryer which was perfect for our family of 8. A/C worked great! Bathtub/shower in both bathrooms. Swing on the front porch. Full size kitchen. We are a large family so we picked up extra bowls and pans for cooking in. But the kitchen came fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans and plenty of silverware. The neighborhood was very quiet. No loud vehicles and rarely actually saw people. Very peaceful. Every view was of mountains. We are from Northeast Texas so it was a real change in scenery. Just beautiful. We would be happy to stay here again.
