Being new to the tractor scene and making my first tractor purchase I did some research online as to what was available as well as the basic differences between models over approximately a two month period. This was going to be an expensive purchase and possibly the last tractor I ever buy in my life so I wanted to do it right. I visited New Holland, John Deere and Kubota dealers that were in close proximity to my location in hopes of easing with service after purchasing. After speaking with several salespeople from those makes I decided to go orange because the Kubota seemed to be the tractor that best suited my needs and seemed to be constructed well and not what I considered to be a "bare bones" tractor. Just doing a little shopping and looking on the internet I had basically decided on a L3901 so I then proceeded to hit the surrounding Kubota dealers to do a little price comparison. I personally work for an automotive dealership
This was the worst car dealership I have ever dealt with in my life. A couple years ago we bought a used Ford Edge from them. Test drove it on a Saturday everything worked fine so we bought it. Didnt even get out of Mtn View with it before it started messing up. I immediately called them and they said dont worry bring it back Monday when a mechanic was there that it sounded like a bad coil pack. So we took off work Monday and spent all day there for them to tell us they were not fixing it. They thought it was the transmission. I asked for my car back that I traded in to them and they refused stating they already sold it. Not sure how they sold it Saturday afternoon after close and by Monday before they even opened. They would not help us out what so ever and here we had a new baby. I was highly disappointed in this dealership. I know I bought it as is but I still think that was crappy I hadnt even got out of town before it gave me problems.
We recently bought a 48 hp tractor and accessories from Matt. Matt and Lance bent over backwards to make sure we had a good buying experience, answered any and all questions we had, and have gone the extra mile to make sure our equipment stays running on the farm. Good country folks that care about the customer.
Thank you very much Matt!!
The place to go
The best car buying experience! Very nice sales staff.
so the shopping experience is not new to me although tractors are. When I stopped at McClung Equipment's lot I browsed the lot momentarily and soon I was greeted by Matthew McClung. My instant impression of him was a gentleman who was very happy at what he does and very genuine in his actions. We spoke for a while and and he listened as I explained my wants and expectations in a tractor and provided his professional opinions as we discussed what my options were. At no time did he rush me or try to sell me on a tractor, although I at the time had ultimately decided on the L3901 as I mentioned earlier, he took all I had to say into consideration and said he was working for me and would do whatever it took to help me to make a well informed purchase be it now or later down the road and offered that they would pick up and deliver my purchase not only after buying but if it were in need of service, to me that meant a lot. Now keep in mind I hadn't spoken pricing with Matt as of yet but had all but decided to purchase from him due to my shopping experience there, ultimately the best I have had be it cars, trucks, homes, etc. I decided to pull the trigger after much thought and after Matt explained things I should be considering that I hadn't thought of I was on the fence between the L4701 and the MX5200. Although he did not have those units on the lot due to specific options I wanted he located both models the next day elsewhere and had them both brought the following day after that to his dealership for me to compare. I arrived that afternoon to find both on the lot and cleaned to the "T" as I had told him I was very picky about my vehicles. I ultimately chose the MX5200 model thankful that Matt had spent time to listen to me or I would have made a purchase that wasn't right for my needs. I honestly feel he went out of his way to ensure a great buying experience and HIGHLY recommend he and his dealership for your next equipment or implement purchase!
