Our family loves staying here in the fall. Great place to camp, whether you have a tent, camper or RV. You can camp by the water or up in the more open area. Friendly owners.
Made reservations months in advance for the Mink and Kingfisher cabins for this past weekend's Bean Fest. Had seen photos on Sylamore Creek's webpage. Immediately upon seeing the cabins, we knew we had made a mistake! Each cabin was in DIRE need of cleaning and maintenance! Old worn out furniture in living areas and we were scared to use anything in kitchen areas. Paid for 3 nights but left after 2. Complained to front desk clerk and he told us we were first to ever complain, but he would be sure to let owner know. Of course we have heard nothing from owner. Don't waste your money as we did on this campground!
Good camp. Facilities are well used and moderately maintained. Had trouble getting cable TV connection but eventually got it.
Love the location! You can camp on the creek, rent canoes, cabins or camp in nicely treed campsites or tent sites. Very close to a couple of excellent restaurants.
Sylamore Creek Camp served as a place for our family to meet and spend time together. In order for all to have a good time, the kids must have a good time. They had a blast swimming in the crystal clear creek and playing tag and other games in the open area. It is within 6 miles of Blanchard Springs Cavern, which was awesome and 5 miles to Mountain View, a quaint little town with personality. The camp is nothing fancy but the staff is helpful and friendly. We will be back.
